    I've been Money Tipped!
I've had a quick run through the down stairs flinging junk into the corners and less on view. This week is a nightmare....there are two diggers in my garden...the garden it appears in in my house ...grrrr...mud everywhere. Now the boiler has packed in too...its not surprising my head is belting. I'd go back o bed or a nap if the building regs guy wasn't coming this morning.

  • Thanks for the thoughts. I've got Shelter to get in touch with re: rights and such but as reposession proceedings will likely take a while, our short assured tenancy will have expired so I don't hold out a huge amount of hope. To be honest though, I don't trust the landlord as far as I can fling him now and would rather just get out and start again - shame though as we love the place and have only been in since September (plus I only just finally unpacked the last box a week ago!!) We've got a viewing lined up for next week so, fingers crossed!

Well, I shall eagerly await the list. Kitchen wiped over, been on a trip to Mr A, bathroom wiped downWM been on once and have now realised I've nowhere to hang anything (lovely and sunny now but we had snow this morning so I worry about putting it out). Need to wait for the wee one to wake up before I can take the Dyson for a walk. Oh well, time for 30 minutes for me :)

  • Thought I would share this, not very appropriate for a cleaning forum but I thought it was lovely!
Time for a cuppa then off to clean out the rabbits.

Come in, but dont expect to find
All dishes done, all floors ashine.
Observe the crumbs and toys galore.
The smudgy prints upon the door.
The little ones we shelter here
Dont thrive on a spotless atmosphere.
    They're more inclined to disarray
    And carefree even messy play.
Their needs are great, their patience small
All day I'm at their beck and call
    Its Mummy come!, Mummy see!
Wiggly worms and red scraped knee
    Painted pictures, blocks piled high.
My floors unshined, the days go by.
Some future day they'll fly this nest,
And I at last will have a rest!
Now you tell me what matters more
A happy child or a polished floor?

Working toward the Vintage fair at the weekend so in the "make a mess to sort it out" stage; sticking to the basics for now.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all, especially to those tackling loss and grief. It does get easier but I know that's difficult to accept at this stage.

Helen, I am sorry to hear your news, I am thinking of you and your family and remembering you in my prayers.

lostinrates Hugs and calming vibes for you. I hope you manage to get your boiler sorted soon. Mud and cold

I didn't manage any flying Tuesday or yesterday as was at hospital on Tuesday and then yesterday DH's chain saw broke down. We went to town (hour drive) they said to leave it for three hours. We killed time trying not to spend any money. Went back and they hadn't looked at it.

This morning they have rung up to say it has a damaged motor (is unrepairable) and are blaming DH for putting wrong mixture in it. We really need it as our heating is mainly wood and we need to be able to cut it up. So, I have had to ask for an increase on our credit card and off he has gone to buy another. It was £165 in July!!
