PVR is Humax 9150T , connected to the tv by SCART and Rf cable.I use the pvr SCART slot marked 'TV SCART'.0

Page 51 of the owners manual:
6. Power Saving in Standby
You can select whether the product switches to power saving mode in standby.
1. Select Power Saving in Standby using the V / ^ button.
2. Select from On and Off using the OK or > button.
I suspect Power Saving in Standby is enabled and therefore the RF loop though is being switched off.

I had'nt considered this , I'll investigate.

Have switched 'Power saving in standby' to OFF , and this seems to have solved the problem.
