i made story sacks last yr at school. my eldest son was in reception class and his teacher approached 7 of us and ask if we would get invloved in making some. the school provided all the funding and it was really good fun. had such a giggle. hungary caterpiller was made, incy wincy spider, monkey puzzle and humpty dumpty. then once they were all made we got to spend a morning with our children in class using them.
the school asked us mums to go back and make more this year, but none of us have been able to.0 -
jcr16 that sounds fantastic, what an amazing resource for the schoolNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

yes they really are, it was a project the school had done before but not for about 10 years. i felt really lucky that i was one of the mums they offered the chance to.
i'm sure it is something they will do again.0 -
family learning in schools now is fantastic they allow you to work with your children or give you the chance to meet other parents and doing something like this just takes the pressure off and makes it fun i made a few little ones when my girls friends were little but i can see this as another project to add to an ever increasing list lol:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

Thankyou for that compliment
So jcr are you hoping for an even bigger family than 4. We have 4 but wish now we had 6 or more. I love families and ours is all important to us. Our grandchildren are almost an addiction to my husband LOLNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
sethsgran have you done any projects involving the book 'going on a bear hunt' at all xx
Just had a thought on this one. If you made a blanket and appliqued the journey the children travel onto the blanket. You could where the cave is have a secret pocket with the bear in. Then also at the childrens home another pocket. These pockets could contain either finger or hand puppets, all made by you ofcourse. The puppets could be used when telling the story.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
