I would buy 1.5m of the main fabric as they love to have lots to snuggle under with mummy.

My Gruffalo might not make it under close inspection LJM, go for it you won't regret it and lots online here will help you, I would for sure and I know others would. Always good to develop a new skill

do you back the fleece or is the design replicated on the back ?

No I don't back it, you can see some of the stitching on the back but lots of it gets hidden in the pile of the fleece.

Sethsgran you're very talented, just wish Ikea was wee bit closer so I could pick up these cheapie fleeces and have a go myself. Although I fear my ambition waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outstrips my actual talent (if any )

i wish i did, i'm on isle of wight. we have one fabric shop in the town where i live and one about 8 miles away, other to that i don't know of any fabric store.i'm so limited with places to buy,i now generally buy from ebay or online.

i've heard we do have dunlin mills opening over here. they sell fabrics don't they ?

Dunelm, yes they do and they sell fleece. The gruffalo fleece was from their. The link I sent for the Harrogate shop is good and they do online orders also. I used the mail order when I was ill and their service was good.
