How can delivery delays affect items they clearly haven't got???

Well if it's a delivery TO M&S then clearly it can affect their stock levels.

Okay - I can understand that...but in the delay email they gave me a new delivery date......so either they expected the items and then only the next day they decided they weren't going to get them or....?????

......although it is just probably another example of their **** on-line stocking system.

Well I finally received my order today minus 1 pair of trousers, really pleased with everything & it all fits.

Also queried the £3.50 delivery charge and they have refunded.

Just ordered the Portfolio Large Collar Faux Fur Shearling Jacket, gave me 10% discount & allowed a collection from store, hopefully it will not be cancelled.

I know I am another sale veteran that should expect this but the whole thing is rather annoying and frustrating.

I got exactly the same emails. My hopes were raised that I would get the items, then dashed again the following day when the cancellation email arrived.

Well, I've had a despatch email for two tops and two pairs of trousers. Very surprised, I was expecting a cancellation after this length of time.
