Put the contents of your cupboards on old style and they will make it last past tues. For teh future look into credit unions0

If you really have no money and really really need it then get a crisis loan from DWP.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sounds like they have done you a favour. If you are that short, then borrow the money from family or friends or sell something.
I would suggest you post over on the debt free wanabee boards as you need to stop relying on these loan.
Payday loans are meant for one off emergencies and not to keep borrowing from them for the long term. That's how so many people keep getting into a mess by keep taking them out one after the other or keep extending them.
You may not want to hear it, but use it as a wake up call, get posting on the debt free wanabee boards and start to get yourself sorted.
You're one step away from a complete disaster at the moment, don't go that step further.
So true and a very good point...I talk from experienceWhen looking at the climb in front of you, don't forget to look back once in a while and see how far you have come:j
and remember...
All the worrying in the world won't change anything...so breathe:beer:0 -

with regards to work we are not working at present - my partner spends a few hours a day most days looking for a job but one has not come up as yet, i cant wait till he does find one i hate been on benefits i feel like were sponging and should bring in our money as we are not ill in anyway i suffer from depression but am still wiling and hoping to work part time once my partner also finds work.
i think we will manage tbh we have been through the food we have and have enough till tuesday by what time i will have a little child benefit, have just been to morrisons and got nappies and 8 pints of milk was a little embarrassing shoving all the copper in self service lol but hey never mind.
once i have a little money i am going to send for my credit reporta as at min just have equifax and get dealing with money situation.
As for potty training will be getting a potty on tuesday and starting him although as someone mentioned i know it will take a while as hes still young
Thanks again feeling a lot better
The fact that you have taken the advice onboard without getting on your high horse (which so many do, when they don't get what they want to hear), is always worth a :T from me.
I really do wish you the best of luck in getting things sorted.0 -
Spendnsave, just wanted to echo fozmcfc - you have taken the advice given to you very well. So many posters get upset when the truth is pointed out to them.
Don't worry about using coppers at the supermarket - I do it all the time on the SS machines as it means I can get rid of lots of coins without a cashier having to count them (which I would feel bad about).
Good luck!0 -
OK a few ideas before I go looking for you on the DFW board
If you can't find a job - have you looked at things like Avon etc? I know jobs are hard to find but it does mean there is a "lipstick" economy... people don't buy a new £100 dress but they will buy a £3 lipstick as a treat instead
Cleaning jobs - look at gumtree etc - That's where I've looked and posted when I've needed a cleaner and I have a fab girl who does mine (with a toddler, fulltime job AND doing Avon there are not enough hours in the day!) OR as I have suggested before... look and see if there is a gap in the market for something like an ironing service... friend of mine local to here set hers up and had to hire 2 people to help her keep up it was that in demand... think outside the box!
Now... nappies obviously are needed - Old Style will help you make everything stretchand Debt Free Wannabe will help you put a plan into place to manage going forward
Potty... frankly I think 16 months is too early... but all babies are different... at 21 months I'm not even thinking of buying a potty yet! The babies simply don't have the control or awareness yet and you might be putting too much pressure on yourself and the little one... Until they understand what a poopoo and weewee actually is and connect the word with the sensation if you know what I mean... then you're probably looking at it too early...
At 21 months I've started leaving the toilet door open when I go so she sees that this is what big girls and grown ups do... when she's ready she'll understand that this is where we go weewee nowIf that means I have to wait another year then I will...

My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
On the potty training, we used a small padded seat that fitted onto the loo and a step (can't stand potties) and made it all a bit of "goodness aren't you a big girl now". Never, ever leave unattended though. Results really quickly - sorted day and night by 18 mos.0
