thankyou Pink, Zippy, mrsM and Rosieben for all your hard work :A

mrs M could you please put me down for £400 for feb thankyou

we have had a big discussion re our grocery spend as it is costing more and more . the DD's have agreed to buy any sweets they want out of their pocket money , I just need to convince DH that he could reduce his beer and wine spends  there are other areas we could cut down on such as i buy cravendale milk and lurpak and if i down brand that may help. I always check on my supermarket for offers and pick up whoopsies when i can . i suppose its a work in progress , tweaking things until i get to a sustainable budget

Well here I am on the Feb GC with the budget of £140 reduced by £10 from Jan

After a successful Jan I went to Mr S without my list and ended up buying some more expensive items than planed. 2 bags of prawns and bag of scampi for easy quick teas, lg box of bonios for the dog, some mini loaf cake cases after I spotted the bakery selling them for 79p per cake and I thought it would be cheaper to make a mini loaf cake batch even if the cases come in at 29p each.

Managed to avoid the washing products half price offers - phew!

Anyway came out at £41 lighter so I'm already under £100 for Feb - will have to be careful for this month. Have a family birthday next weekend so may be a bit more of a spend than usual when I work out what's left to get. Have worked out what's in the freezer and have plenty in so shouldn't need too much for the rest of the month apart from milk, fruit and veg
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

I'm on an annual budget so just updating......

spent £152.80 out of budget so far, which is well under the monthly breakdown of £260. This is mostly due to a very lucky spell in late December with the whoopsies. I still have a biggish stock for Feb so I'm hoping that I will also come in under this month.

Although with the way the prices are going, I need this head start to have any chance by the end of the year!
  • I spent £73.84 at Tesc0 today. It wasn't really a 'weekly' shop as it included enough of some things to last the whole month.
  • Yippppeee i love it when a new thread starts and the challenge is fresh and ready to go. My lil bro is moving in with us towards the end of Feb so going to stick to the same amount but with one extra mouth to feed but I am sure I can do it with some careful planning. Plus i always seem to cook too much anyway:rotfl:that way i can keep the £50 a month he is giving us for food towards a bill.

Off to update my signature with my new target :j

    Good Luck everyone

Wssla00 is right 48 AGAIL for £12 and free delivery atm, when i ordered the sensations were on offer too so i ordered 2x 48 for £11.52 each delivered. I also discovered that the dog food that i buy was on there so i ordered that too so i made a saving on petrol.

I would never have thought that they sold things like this but someone on the January GC posted it (sorry can`t remember who) and i fell lucky.

I shall make a habit of checking their site and searching for ones with free delivery as i saved quite a lot of money by ordering tons of stuff. I now have 3 sacks of dog food in and around 250 pouches :o

    Thanks to you and WSSLA!

My kitty is particularly fussy though so im not sure itwould be worth my while. She will only eat certain flavours the wee minx. I think i have her spoilt.

thats useful to know , i will have a look thanks!
