Forgot to add that I'm declaring £129.12 for February. Under budget but I'm not too happy about this because I could and should have done better! :o

    Hi Everyone,

I've just checked my receipts for the last week or so and they came to £83.12, so that brings my total to £211.66. :j:j:j

Although I'm slightly over, I'm very happy with this as it's a HUGE improvement on last month. The total also includes a £50 shop that I did yesterday, so my fridge, freezers and cupboards are once again filled to bursting, which will stand me in good stead for next month. Unfortunately I'm going to bow out of next month's challenge as I'm struggling to find the balance between eating well on my diet (low carb, so V.expensive!) and spending less - at the moment the diet comes first.

I will continue to tot up my spends and try and keep good shopping habits as I hope to rejoin sometime soon, but at the moment my heart just isn't in it so I'm not going to worry too much about it.

    Good luck for March everyone!

Complete and utter disaster this month here. I lost track of my spends about halfway through the month and have not been good about recording anything so I shall class this as a big overspend, big mistake and well next month has to go better than this.

I am back to work as of Thursday so can afford a little bit of a better budget and will need to buy things for packed lunches and the like which I have not done for the past few months.

Anyway this can only get better after this disaster

Well done everyone for this month - even if you've gone over, at least you are more aware of it now. That's the way I always think anyway when I go over!

    I was over budget. £203.84
My spending, bar one shop at the beginning of the month was all haphazard little shops here and there and I lost track, as I didnt keep it up to date!
Just spent the afternoon updating my months spends, not only on Groceries, but on everything else as well!
Oh dear, I have spent nearly £1,000 not in the budget!
(Thankgoodness for the money I received from the council!)
But that means alot of things are going to have to change. Not just the food shopping.
for the first time in many a month, there is little food in the house that will make a decent meal!
    So back to square one!:o
