  • Hi all,

Big hugs to all those who need them :grouphug:

Can i declare for Feb at £121 out of £150!! Not bad! But now the kitchen is completely empty, so i am going to have to factor in a big shop in accordance with my 4wk plan. So can i please have a budget of £200 for March.

Thank you Mrs M!! The best bit is that i can add the £29 saved to the wedding fund!

I have just signed on to mysupermarket for the first time and its great! so useful to transfer your favourites from your usual supermarket, and it even advises brand downsteps if you are trying Martin's step down a brand.
We have also just had a 50p shop open in town?! i havent been in yet, but i wonder about the quality of goods in there....

Good luck everybody for Feb and see you in March.xx

I'm declaring at £704.13/4300 for the year so far. I really stocked up the freezer earlier this month mostly with whoopsied meat and its still heaving so dont anticipate a heavy spend March. I'm probably tempting fate saying that!
I will need to do a shop tomorrow as I have several money off and points coupons for Mr T but I will stick to my list.
    Have a good weekend all!

  • ooooh, I shoulndt be as excited as I am but just remembered that I'm going to my mums for 2wks next month sooooo my grocery bill should be smaller and there won't be the temptation of take aways!!! lol :j

I'm starting Sl!mm!ng World diet prog :A , as it's to do with food I was thinking of including that in my grocery challenge figure - the weekly fees??? am I ok doing that?
Is there a what we can or can't include in figure or is it what applies to us persoanlly?

I hope that makes sense! :rotfl:
    Feb GC £298.72/£250 :o
    Mar GC £ ? / £300

    Start SW this wk! :p
  • wannabrich - enjoy the excitement!
I don't think you have to include the fees as they aren't strictly speaking for the groceries themselves, are they?
I wouldn't, if it was me.
You can do it however you like - make the rules suit you!
    And good luck!

  • Hi all

Declaring Feb at £315.88, quite a bit over but I did have a BB4L shop. I was off this week so I took the time to do a detailed inventory of my freezer and cupboards. 2 hours later I put the lists on my diary. I seem to have food coming out of my ears :rotfl:. So as I have DS6's party to cater for and probably a takeaway for mine later in the month, could you please put me down for £250 for March.

Hopefully brought the last of this months shopping today and it cost £12.85 this included 12 litres of milk though. Cant think of anything else that we want now but will declare on Monday or Tuesday. Looking good anyway. :D

Have just put the slow cooker on with a pork casserole in, its for tomorrow with mashed potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli and some green beans. Added a small handful of pearl barley into it as well and a small amount of very small diced red pepper cause mum doesn’t like it if she knows its there but is happy to eat it if she doesn’t!! Ha and she always says kids are too fussy with food these days. She is out of hospital now and doing ok but I think that she has gotten slightly confused since being ill so will have to watch her a bit more.

Off to watch the rugby now with DH, I cant abide footie but rugby is another matter.

Mrs M although doing an annual challenge can you please mark me down for £250 FOR MARCH. If manage it in March will seriously think about reducing it again a small amount. Already dropped from £400 every 4 weeks to around £250 per calender month so extremley pleased.

Good luck everyone with March challenge.
    MARCH £62.38/250

Billie-jo know what you mean about the footie. Can't stand it. But for the duration of the six nations I become a Rugby fanatic. Important match is tomorrow for me but Dad is currently jumping up and down about kick off this evening. (Split household - Mum and I are Sctoland, Dad England and Sister whoever is winning :rotfl:)
    GC Mar 13 £47.36/£150
  • Declaring for Feb. gone over my target, I thought with it being a short month I'd be ok, but I think I've been a bit naughty on one or three occasions:o I did initially put my self down for £120, then amended it to £140...unfortunately I've spent £172.03 and it would have been more if it wasn't for vouchers. There is a £30 shop there that will last well into next month so hopefully will be back on track.
    GC - Oct £36.17/£31
    GC - Sep £35.56/£30:o
    GC - Aug £30.73/£31
    GC - Jul £30.80/£31
