Well we are massively over, probably by more than last time. Need to go and add up the proper figures, but spent £67 in T*sco yesterday, because we were both being a bit extravagant, and there have been little shops over the last week or so. Harumph.
We have GOT to get this down to £200/month. It really shouldn't be so hard for two of us, but no freezer is a bit limiting! Also, Mr Lotti is supposed to be eating lots to bulk up, and I'm supposed to be eating healthily, and NOT lots, to avoid bulking up/slim down a little.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh why can't we get our spending sorted?!?!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Hi
Been a hectic couple of weeks and I've no idea what we've spent this month [due to Dad dying and all the associated gibble that goes with it]
I'm determined to get back on track here, and on "Flying" [oh my, the house is a pigsty!!]
I've enjoyed reading all your posts though, you've kept me sane at many a point and I have managed to keep track of the 2nd purse thingy and what I owe it - need to update my siggy with that amount.
MrsM can you put me down for £300 please for March
I've upped my amount to take rising costs and other things into account and cos we never seem to get to £250!! DH is going to be banned from buying anything unless he has prior approval :rotfl:
Have a nice evening everyone

Right, I've added up and we're on £245.43/£200 if we don't include Pizza Express, and £278.08/£200 if we do.
Think I need to reorganise how we do the shopping! Too many last-minute dashes to T*sco Express as it's the only place open on a Sunday when we get back from TA... tbh it would probably be cheaper to order a pizza than let us loose in there when we're hungry.“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

I'm a bit cross though because last time I bought two large milks and got one out of the freezer the other day and it's already gone off
Going to try buying less milk this week, Although we're both off work next week so will be using more. I think I'll get 2x 4 pinters instead of the 3 litre ones.
Remaining to buy: Milk, Cat treats, Quorn pieces, foil, quorn sandwich chicken slices, spread(margarine).0 -
Small £1 spend on broccoli today - got home and realized I didn't need it because I have a ton of mushrooms needing using up so I'm doing a Pork Stroganoff.
Haven't spent anything on lunches this week - I've had some inventive snacks comprised of store-cupboard items!Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Another £17.79 spent between Mr S, £1 shop and Mr T. I was convinced we must have gone over after our shop in Mr T's today, but when I worked it out we've still got nearly £40 left, so I'm well pleased!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

86p spent on milk today. I have spent all afternoon in the kitchen using up some bendy veg and other bits and bobs I found lurking. I have made:
Quorn and leek pie with HM oven chips for tea
Shepherds pie x 2
Fish pie x 8 for DS
Cheese and veg pasta for DS x 4
Savoury mince x 2 for DS
I have listed and reorganised the contents of my 2 freezers and have been able to chop about £5 off my planned shopping list for the 27th.
DMIL gave us 2 Aunt Bess1e sponge puddings today. DH favourite so had one after tea:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Not spent anything since last update :T
DH did try it on though today - we both had an appointmet for injections this morning and we had fasted for 12 hours previously. We had grandson with us and after we had both been jabbed DH said lets go to Te$co and get some toast. Te$co is about 1.5 miles one way from doctors and home is roughly 1.5 miles the other direction. WHY TE$CO then?
So actually saved quite a bit because once there I know for certain the DGS would have wanted a breakfast at £4 so would DH and no doubt I would have had a drink at the very least. Feel rather chuffed with myself although have been renamed Granny Meanie. Its ok I can live with that cause the extra £10 approx in my purse helps.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
£5 at aldi on bread, cat food and veg- thought that was it for the month til dd decided she wanted to make gingerbread with g'ma tomorrow - 'popped' to asda for eggs and plain flour and came out £11 lighter - however got lots of whoopsied veg and bread and srocked up on golden syrup that was on special offer - 97p each or 2 for £1- I got 4!
Shelves were stripped bare of SP flour - think someone from here is stockpiling lolPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
