Grabbit board ?

Ive seen a huge increase in the amount of freebies, codes etc being reposted from their original board to the grabbit one , surerly this shouldnt be occuring as it just means that a load of peop;le post and view the one board instead of all the shopping boards . It also means that those who utilize all the shopping boards miss out !

Im sorry to rant, but it is rather annoying !

a poster told me today that they would have missed out on a deal that was wrongly posted on grabbit because they "dont bother" to look on the other boards !

here is a comment i posted on a thread where the deal was REPOSTED already from the freebies board

I think the reason why the grabbit board has so many views is because thats where most people repost or post on, instead of posting on the relevant boards

if everyone was to post on the relevant board ie food, freebies etc then the views would be more even

Its an annoying fact, people don't know how to use the search function. Even then it can be easy to miss some duplicate threads, but on balance I don't think some people are bothering to check properly before posting a grabbit.

If they utilize all the boards, then surely they will see most things on each board?

p.s. why are the 'number of views' relevant? :o

i dont see why the number of views are relevant, but someone on the grabbit board compared the number of views on my thread (which i posted on the relevant board )compared to the same info that was reposted on the grabbit board

I have said this before, but apparently some people don't see why they should have to take the time to look at more than one board! ;)

That was me in both cases. I can provide a link to the relevant thread if you like, so that you can see how many posters agreed with me. arran m, you are entitled to your opinion - but it's probably not good for your stress levels to get so exercised about these things, and it's definitely not fair to the OPs of these threads that you keep wading into to complain. So there are a few duplicate threads - it's not the end of the world. :) The good thing is that more people see and benefit from the best deals.

p.s. may I respectfully suggest that with almost 4,000 posts since you joined 8 months ago (i.e. 500 a month) you may benefit from spending less time on MSE. It does seem to be affecting your sense of perspective.

A tad nasty! I have not read the thread in question, but arran m does make a good point here, there is nothing to stop you reading other boards. Endless duplicate threads mean that good offers will be missed.

  • Are some posts on these threads advertisements? Is that why there is competition for views and the likeability graphics have changed to make more deals look popular?

    4,000 posts in 8 months?

(I haven't looked at any of the disputed threads)

MSE should be advertisement free - some get through, but Abuse will act if they are reported.
