have just received an £800 bill from vodafone....culprit numbers are 84010 which have sent 33 unsubscribed text at a cost to me of £49.50. The number is registered to Dialogue Communications Ltd, after contacting them I am awaiting a refund of the full amount...will keep you posted.
The other number is 69113 registered to Switchfire Ltd..0844 445 7707... as of yet I have only got an answer machine, this company have scammed over £600 from my contract account with vodafone. I will be sending an email today to see what response if any it brings.
@Bex40,
Dialogue Communication on shortcode 84010, these were the same scammers that were involved when I got scammed in 2006 and they are still scamming!
When I got scammed it was proved that the companies involved purchased a customer list to send the chargeable texts which is illegal. I was also with Vodafone, they were no help at all, in fact they lied to me to protect the scam. I eventually took them to the Ombudsman and won, for what it was worth but I felt better for it!
Check this out for info on how long Dialogue have been involved in scamming and how many victims they have scammed;

You have to report the matter to Phone Pay Plus for a start, not that they are much help but they are the Premium Rate Regulator. Chase up your network, Vodafone, as it is a fact that they will be taking up to 50% of the money stolen from your account. (The Government also take 20% in VAT)
Don't leave messages on answerphones or call premium rate numbers, 0871, to make contact. The answerphone will probably cover several companies. Always e-mail the company that way you have proof that you are demanding a refund.

Hi Bex40
Thank you for your post relating to premium rate text message charges that have significantly impacted your bill.
We’ll be more than happy to help you in relation to this. We’d also be able to help with adding a premium rate message bar that you appear to have had difficulty adding to your account as mentioned in your other MSE post.
If you can e-mail the details to us via our Contact Us page, using WRT135 as the subject, and as much information as possible, and we’ll certainly look to help wherever we can.
Many Thanks

@Simon,
Perhaps you would like to comment on why VF customer service adviser's deny that a premium rate bar can be added to an account, as we have seen posted on MSE too many times?
Surely they all can't be new to the job?

Hi Intasun32,
We appreciate that it’s frustrating to be given conflicting information.
This is something we’ll be feeding back as this may be a training issue that needs addressing.
Many thanks,
Jenny

I requested a premium rate block onto my account, but have not received any reply (I used your contact us page). Do you have an email address?0 -
Thank You. contacted 2ergo and they advised they will block this number (82024) immediately. Also asked for my # and gave me the name of the company charging me; advised to call them for a refund. Very helpful.. :TContact 2ergo on their 0161 874 4222 number, which will be cheaper to call than 0844
Say you haven't subscribed and want a refund. They are just the hosting number provider, and will forward it to the actual service provider to process the refund.
If the refund doesn't happen contact Phonepayplus0 -
good grief is the Network/2ergo/Expanding Vision Limited revenue share thefts on this shortcode (82024) still happening.Eliz311 wrote:contact Phonepayplus0
