Awh, poor you DFW (((hugs))), styes are horrible, I hope it goes soon.
I could do with getting my eyes checked too, I'm sure my prescription has changed, but I can't afford new specs at the moment, so it will have to wait, luckily though I am managing, but just getting really fed up with losing my specs all over the house cos I forget where I've put them and then can't see to find them :rotfl:

i went to a friends house then after picking DD up from nursery popped to Dunelm Mill ......I spent £40! £15.99 on a toilet seat (after dh broke our new one ) was reduced from £20. 2 light shades for the front room- £6.99 each! and a few other little bits
! Oh well. we did need the toilet seat. And dd is very impressed with the fact it closes it self :rotfl:
VERY envious of the self closing loo lid. Will be stealing that idea:Ddebtfreewannabe321 wrote: »Last night i was bored, so i was looking for new curtains on t'internetdo i NEED them- NO . Did i WANT them- Ohhhhhhhh yes
......i got all the way to check out and closed the page :j I keep thinking about them, they were very nice
and cheap(ish) and would brighten up my front room. But no, i'm going to TRY and resist them!!
Go on, show us them then. We'll decide:rotfl:

stye still here! I've tried tea bags, hot compresses, salt water (owwwwwwww) and all sorts of other things on the net recommended lol and still sore & red
!!
DH gone back to work at 2am, i couldn't sleep had horrible restless legs (grrrr) what even causes this!!! IT IS SO ANNOYING! i was so tired too! even after my marathon nap in the afternoon
I have ordered ds2 a bike
@mazon: £38.99 (in half price sale :T): £20 with vouchers, I paid £18.99 cash :T:j.
I'm going to give him it early as his birthday is end of july and last year august wasn't very nice so i'd like him to get the use out of itand he's too young to understand anyway lol (excuses, i'm good at these eh) so when it comes through i will make it up and let him start using it :T DD has a bike now too. A friend gave me a brand new one (only used 3 or 4 times :T) i just had to buy stabilisers & helmet :T so they will have both had their main b-day pressies months before the big day but i wll get them some smaller bits too as i've saved so much on the bikes :T
Got opticians this morning, have googled it and everyone reckons i can still have an eye test with a stye :rotfl:.....we'll see how right 'everyone' is on t'internet :rotfl:

Now they are really pretty and happy looking curtains ! They get the thumbs up from me, but I;m not going to be the one to tell you to buy them !!:rotfl:
I remember the forces houses didn't used to have carpet that reached the edges, just a lump of carpet that finished about 3 /4 inches from the edges, have they improved since then ?!
Hope you feel better today and find a cure for the stye xx
Was that the Childrens Newspaper you forgot to cancel ? My DD2 loves that, but she just logs in online and reads what she wants to as I don't want to pay for it. I feel a bit bad as its lovely for a child to have some much interest in whats going on in the world. A rare occurrence I would think these days ! xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

:rotfl:we had the carpet ripped up in the old house and there was floorboards under neath that were painted around the edges in dark brown and the bit in the middle was bare. The bloke said thats where the carpet used to end......3/4 of the way out :rotfl: i can say it has improved slightly since then lol and carpet now reaches all the way round
Yep it was the children's paper and to be fair ds1 said he was enjoying it. I was just being tight and didn't want to payand i am cancelling after the next quarter
! It is pretty cheap though, one newspaper a week at a pound and delivered to him for free. And he gets to read about current affairs in not so blunt a tone as the other papers use!

Well back from opticians. I need glasses (knew that already) good news was my prescription hadn't changed much so not wearing glasses for the last 2 years didn't make my eyes worse
So spends today:
eye test: £0 :j
glasses: £15 :j
snacks to stop hyper child pulling te$co to pieces  (seriously!) : £2.50
Hayfever tablets: £2 (month worth)
Mcdonalds: £7.90 (i think lost receipt)
Total: £27.40.
The glasses came out of a pot saved especially though :T and i have money left in there as i thought they would be more! i may transfer the leftover money to current account to help with other spends i've had and not budgeted for! Will take snack money from grocery budget i think so just £7.90 to find...... (£2 hayfever from pocket money).......account is now sitting at £2 available :eek::eek::eek::eek: thank god i didn't order extra cheeseburgers :rotfl::rotfl:
