Bike saddle advice!

I'd get a Selle Royal Coast Gel Elastomer, good saddle with a slight amount of spring to it, but no massive springs make it look silly, of course don't bother with them if you already have a full suser or a suspention seat post, although if it is a full suser I suggest you get a new bike.
Your feet don't need to touch the floor at the correct hight when on the saddle and peddling with the balls of your toes your knee should almost lock out at the bottom of the stroke but not quite.

Soxmum, the problemhas been around since the bicycle was first invented. To take your mind off the problem, try this excerpt from Jerome K Jerome's 'Three Menon the Bummel [sequel to 'Three Men in a Boat] writted in 1897:I said "...There may be a better land where bicycle saddles are made out of rainbow, stuffed with cloud; in this world the simplest thing is to get used to something hard. There was that saddle you bought in Birmingham; it was divided in the middle, and looked like a pair of kidneys." He said: "You mean that one constructed on anatomical principles."More practically, check with your local bike shop, or a pedalling friend, that you've got the bike set up nicely for you. Then ask if you can try one or two of the bikes on display, to get an idea of the sort of saddle that might suit. Good luck!
"Very likely," I replied. "The box you bought it in had a picture on the cover, representing a sitting skeleton--or rather that part of a skeleton which does sit."
He said: "It was quite correct; it showed you the true position of the--"
I said: "We will not go into details; the picture always seemed to me indelicate."0 -
Thanks all - looks like a case of toughening up for now & see how it goes!0

i like my feet to be able to touch the floor when cycling otherwise i feel too nervous and find it difficult to get on and off it and start and stop0 -
