So now that interest rates have risen when do we know that all the banks and building societies, who will pass this rate onto savers, will put up their rates so those after the highest rate (isn't everybody?) can change accounts? I guess that ICESave will be the highest instant access savings account but I just what to make sure.
  • I do hope that [BS] stands for Building Societies. ;)
Well most of the remaining 60 odd, Coventry is usually an exception, are full of the other stuff ;).

Contacted them and they have no current plans to increase their ISA rate (currently 5.75%) as they believe it is already competitive.

Yes, but not as competitive !!

Birmingham Midshires Internet Easy Access Savings Account (Issue 6) (Currently 5.2% including 0.65% bonus for 12month)

I must say I'm impressed by ICESave, they were given an excellent opportunity to show up the other banks and they've done it :)
