Fake goods on ebay

Saw a programme the other night about people selling fake good on ebay - it was some kind of consumer rights prog. Anyway, they showed how somebody bought some fake adidas trainers and fake designer handbags. It got me thinking - I've just bought some converse trainers for my son from ebay - how do I know they're not fake? The box says "made in vietnam" - any ideas how I go about ensuring I've not been duped?

Not really old girl, there may be a clue in examining the quality and considering the price you have paid.I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0

I saw it too and think before buying I'd look carefully at the seller. I personally think ebay works best without the pro traders (no offence anyone) as it seems that most commonly the problems with fake designer stuff are with the power sellers rather than individuals having a clear out. Feedback obviously helps but it can take ages to trawl through looking at what their negatives are for if they have hundreds of pages!
Once you've bought an item though perhaps try doing what they were doing on the show and take it along to someone who sells the real McCoy?:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
I think it is obvious with many goods, to tell by the advert ,if they are copies or not.For example if you see a rolex watch for sale for £30,it will be a fake. The same goes for designer handbags. These are the kind of thing many people buy, KNOWING they are fake but very cheap.
However there are people selling fakes at the same prices you would pay for the genuine article, these are the ones that are difficult to spot until you have paid your money, then it is often too late.
There are two sides to every story.

easiest way to look at negative feedback is go to feedback page and on the righthand side it says period and there is a drop down box click it choose 12 months then click go and on the right hand side it should show | Positive (1404) | Neutral (4) | Negative (4) | Withdrawn (0) click on which one you want to look at and it just lists those0

There is a certain vanity related to what label you are wearing and there will always be someone to exploit that. Are they fake? Who knows? A trained eye may be able to tell but some of the 'fakes' come from the same factory as makes the original (its just they do not leave by the font door).

shouldn't this be in the ebay area?
Sorry to be patronising but it is very simple to see if somethings fake on ebay, just by looking at the sellers feedbeack, the listing, and if it is fake, and they list it as real, file an "item not as described" you get ur money bk, they get a warning off ebay and a neg off you
Thats for you victory- you'll get ur money back0
