    Not really to do with the appeal, but take a look at the AFCO5 which has a brief overview of medical conditions that are unsuitable for Army Service;

    An appeals process is likely to be a lengthy process but if she's dead set it can't hurt to try.

    Be careful on Arrse! Their humour is...different to say the lease!

    Have you looked at it from the Armys point of view? Having someone working for them who has tried to kill themselves, possibly having a job with weapons etc.

    Worth appealing though, don't want the 'what if' for ever!
    What is pi? Where did it come from?

    On Rum Ration the Navy equivalent of Arrse, there are a couple of Recruiters on there, on of them goes by name of NinjaStoker , I think. Deffo, Ninja something. He might be able to give you a couple of pointers.

    To be brutal, in the current recruitment climate, its very unlikely anybody with mental issues will be accepted. Save yourself the time, trust me.

  • Fergie's almost right - the person on rumration is ninja_stoker.

    The other person on rumration who may be able to give you some pointers is another poster is angrydoc who is a serving naval doctor. It may be worth asking him what specific part of JSP 346 the army authorities have referred to (JSP346 is the tri-service medical standards that will have been referred to).

    Once you know this you know what your daughter is dealing with.
