Take it to a Rover dealer, get them re-programmed.

    Oh...wait...

Plenty of former Rover dealers still have all the equipment and trained staff to sort Rover problems out.

Though this sounds like an alarm/immobiliser fault, and therefore can happen on any car more than a few years old.

Toyota are having another recall this week. I believe it is a fuel leak issue.

At least Rover could get the brakes to work, the throttle not to stick and keep the fuel where it was meant to be.

Nothing serious apparently, just "tightening the fuel pressure sensor"
It will take up to 4 hours. Don't think even Toyota are that slow, I wonder what they're not saying.

True, I am shocked at all these recent problems with Toyotas, I think a corporate bean counter has got involved like happened at Merc in the late 90's and early 00's.

4 hours to tighten a fuel pressure sensor, mmmm, I think you are right there is something being kept from the public eye.

In other countries this Toyota "problem" is being openly stated as wrong spec petrol pipes being fitted and as they've already had 100+ petrol pipe failures, its time to replace them all!

Back on track, the company above can read the immobiliser box to get the code for the key turns, if you have no joy.
Other local companies can do it, if you take the box off.

  • The EKA codes needed.... Wesbite called mgrovercodes or similar you'll have to google it... They'll sort the code out for you.

Is that because they were essentially Hondas at heart?:)

No, the Honda's were made of much better stuff.. :D

Biggest mistake Honda ever made .. getting mixed up with the shambles that once was Rover.. :)
