I am so sick of seeing ed ball on TV glibly blaming the Tories for all the nation's woes.
All Labour can ever think about is tax and spend and if you don't have the money, never mind, just spend it anyway.
Perhaps if they had won another term they'd have totally screwed the economy and people would treat them with the contempt they deserve.
Edit:
And to add to that, why is there a surprise that the economy shrunk? Labour presided over the largest growth of debt, both private and public since WW2. Of course there's no growth - we have no money left, as their Secretary to the Treasury pointed out.

As opposed to the Tories who are going to tax the shirt on your back & then give that money to their mega rich school chums & continue giving it & give some more & then some more again.
Now, it may have escaped your notice but the economy is doing pretty much what Labour said. Like it or not.
It also may have escaped your notice that Labour also presided over one of the largest (if not the largest) periods of growth ever.
Thanks for the thread.
But do not go down the route of Osbourne knows what he is doing. He doesn't.Not Again0 -
Is that any worse than absolutely screwing the country by spending money we don't have and potentially taking us down the same path as Ireland/ Spain/ Greece?0

Clue: Borrowed money isn't income. A bubble isn't economic growth.0 -
Is that any worse than absolutely screwing the country by spending money we don't have and potentially taking us down the same path as Ireland/ Spain/ Greece? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

Like I have said before scaring the sh!te out of people with a few copppers (them few coppers make many billions by the way) & robbing them blind at every opportunity at the same time is hardly a way of injecting cash into a country.
All the treasury are doing is taking money from people who would normally spend it in the High Street anyway or keep it in a bank so the bank could reinvest (at revised realistic levels).
Instead the people that "benefited" from all the mistakes still have all that non-existent money still stashed in offshore accounts. Nice. Not Again0 -

Make of it what you will.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

You are aware that before the current Government started sqatting in No10, that the countrys economy was in growth growing by 1.1% in the first quater of they year, with the defecit decreasing faster than expected. Yet 9 months after Dave and Nick decided to cohabit, the defecit has risen, and the economy is now back in decline.
Make of it what you will.
Probably Wookie will make that a co-incidence.Not Again0 -
Oh dear wookster are you starting to realise the dreadful truth that the Tories don't know what they're doing! If you keep doing what you've always done - you will keep getting what you've always got.0
