19 Seeking a reasonable wage

in 1998 i was 16, in college and was told to get a job by my parents. my car insurance was £250 a month. i got a job packing boxes for £3.65 an hour, i worked 20 hours a week 5 - 10 after college. i carried on this job whislt studying at uni.
13 years later im still at this company, having had 4 different roles, i now earn 26k a year. was made supervisor at 27 years old, now 29. ive had my years of being shouted at, being given the crappy jobs but its a test of a person how you deal with it. they had a great management program which i applied for, it was hard work but worth it, my wage has increased 11k in 18 months. ive heard the mcdonalds management program one is brilliant so there is an option for you.
dont think you're going to walk into a well paid job as its not that easy and if it was we all would be doing it! find something that may not pay well now but there are opportunities to develop yourself. dont wait for opportunities to be handed to youMarried my amazing hubby on 8th September 2012 :j:j0
