I was surprised by that one too, seeing as I've been a regular user of the LTN-ABZ Easyjet route for years. No real use to me as I live 15mins from LTN - probably opens up greater long haul options to folks in the north east from LGW.
I'd disagree that 10pm arrival in LGW is 'rotten' - allows you to have a full days work before catching your flight, then be fresh the next morning for whatever business you have.
The middle of the day flights seem like a good idea but totally ruins the productivity of the day (even if not flying for business reasons). Similarly I'm no a fan of the 7am flight as it means getting up at crazy o'clock in the morning.Legal team on standby0
