lol well yes, but if you don't realise that a doctor can prescribe something you can buy OTC then you wouldn't know to ask, i do now after having a stip torn off me by the step mother who did know but forgot to tell me to ask.
Indeed. And a GP who's awake will normally ask you if you pay for your prescriptions before prescribing something that's also available OTC. My GP always recommends just buying stuff if it's cheaper off script."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
What annoys me is the fact that I have chronic asthma and take 3 different meds for it and have to pay for it. Why are epilepsy and diabetes meds free and asthma not??House saving Targets:

Vet prescriptions are worse. When I worked in a pharmacy, I saw a vets prescription that would have cost the customer over £12. It was for ibuprofen tablets. Which we sold to him for 90p!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

You mean to say that pharmacies file scripts for animals??? OMG! I'll probably end up with worming tablets or something for a glossy coat next time I go in."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

What was good about not allowing them to save us money?
Have I got the wrong end of the stick? I assumed that pharmacies were obliged to point out that the OTC price was the cheaper under Thatcher. Have I got it the wrong way round?
Edit: I've just re-read Azari's post. That's outrageous! Ignore my post then. The vicious witch did nothing good. Witch."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
