I dont mind paying fro a prescription if we got it for full price it would be a lot more.
That does depend on what the prescription is for, i have been stung £6 for a small tube of e45 (not me collecting it or i would have bought it off shelf)0 -

And I can't believe that any pharmacist wouldn't say... 'actually it's cheaper just to buy it'."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

So you'll not believe me when i say i was charged prescription price for a tablet my friend got the following day for 50p from the same place.
Many of them would, some don't care, just luck really, though you get luckier in certian pharmacies compared to others.0 -

During the thatcher reign of terror it was illegal for them to do so.

It's not luck. You can take control of the situation... Try this:
You: "Can I buy this OTC?"
Pharmacist: "Yes"
You: "How much is it please?"
Then do the maths."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

lol well yes, but if you don't realise that a doctor can prescribe something you can buy OTC then you wouldn't know to ask, i do now after having a stip torn off me by the step mother who did know but forgot to tell me to ask.0 -
loads of people want prescriptions for something that costs 50p over the counter - because they get "free" prescriptions.
repeat after me - "there is no such thing as a free prescription".
That 50p item costs the NHS at least £5 + cost of doctors appointment0 -
But even better that we pay nothing and don't have to live in England
comes out of yoru overall budget which gets set by the powers that be in Westminster. And dont expect it to last for very much longer.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
