Right we had a bog standard PHPbb forum (Ver. 2.0.21), and we are doing some mods. I have impilmented a new template, but like on subSilver it wont allow attachments. I have downloaded the attachments hack, and I dont have a clue where in my directory to upload all the files to. These are the files in the mod Anyone know…

you will have to create a folder in the admin folder /public_html/phpBB2/admin and name it mods

The path then to upload the easymod folder is into the mods folder /public_html/phpBB2/admin/mods when that's complete you will have to run the installation script in your browser it should be something like this:

h**p://www.example.com/phpBB2/admin/mods/easymod/easymod_install.php

Then follow all of the prompts.

I have done all that, but its still not seeing the mod

I reckon its something to do with the path I have set :think:

Ok got it to see it, tried to process and got

I have installed easymod on a few forums all with no problems. It may be worth you having a look at http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewforum.php which offers support for this mod.

It's difficult to work out your errors when I had an easy installation so I guess the support forum would offer you better advice.

If you are using the subsilver template you can manually edit the files to install the upload picture modification, that may be an easier option for you?

Right I have had no reply at area51.

Where it says

copy attachment_mod/download.php to download.php

copy attachment_mod/uacp.php to uacp.php

copy attachment_mod/attach_rules.php to attach_rules.php

copy attachment_mod/admin/admin_attach_cp.php to admin/admin_attach_cp.php

copy attachment_mod/admin/admin_attachments.php to admin/admin_attachments.php
ect.

What does that mean? I have to swap the files over? Or copy the info from one file and put it in the other?

The syntax of copy is from source to destination.

i.e. attachment_mod/download.php will replace download.php and so on, so that the mod will take effect.

Right, i think I have got you (bear with me, I was up till 6am again )

Remove download.php and replace with attachment_mod/download.php?

Why dont you guys write these user manuals, this is 21 pages long, and these few posts have made more sense than the whole thing.
