Right we had a bog standard PHPbb forum (Ver. 2.0.21), and we are doing some mods.

I have impilmented a new template, but like on subSilver it wont allow attachments. I have downloaded the attachments hack, and I dont have a clue where in my directory to upload all the files to.

These are the files in the mod

Anyone know where they go? I was up till 5am working out bugs in the template (colosseum) and now I have worked that out, we really want the attachments mod.

There are very clear (to me at least ) install instructions in the "docs" folder when you unzip the mod, look at install.txt

I suggest you take a backup first, download all folders to your PC, and then install the mod

Well its not very simple to me, I only taught myself everything yesterday.

If you've been fixing bugs in template files then you must have a pretty good idea of what you're doing

I'm afraid it's not just a simple case of uploading the files to your server. As you have a modified phpbb2. The folders in the zip file match the folders in your phpbb folder on the server so you would upload them from the local PC to the corresponding folders on the server. However, it looks like it's aimed towards subsilver whereas you're using another template. Therefore you will also have to modify the files directly as described in the install.txt file.

PS Some of the content in this post could be deemed as being sarcastic. It isn't supposed to be.

I just dont understand this mod at all, fixing the bugs was a pile of pee, this is really hard

There are 16 pages of instructions.

Apparently, all I have to do is change it for a differnt template, that bit is easy.

I did try posting on the hacks board where I got it from, but not very forthcoming.

Sorry could not help!

I was hoping there was a text install file or it could be installed with easymod, but it will not install with easymod!
Checking on the phppb forum there is something like 1200 pages of installing and problems installing.

If you want to just upload pictures there are much easier mods to install. Failing that if you wait for phpbb3 which is rumoured to be realeased soon, it has an attachment allready installed!
