They can be recycled, but not along with normal paper because of the colour, it contaminates the other paper and makes the quality poor.

In my area you can hand in your book at any council office for seperate recycling.

I recycle mine in the garden recycle bin.

Good for you, shredding them up an putting them in the compost bin is an excellent way of recycling them.

We can recycle them, but have to take them to the recycling centre where they're kept seperatly and stacked up in a big cage. Where they go after that is a mystery. If it's landfill I prefer to remain in blissful ignorance.

The trouble with Yellow Pages is it is full of dodgy businesses, if you are looking for a job doing then never use Yellow Pages to find a company.
 My business is not dodgy, nor OH's business and we advertise in the Yellow Pages

There are some non-dodgy businesses in the Yellow Pages, but the problem is it is full of dodgy businesses, which is why it is always recommended never use a company out of the Yellow Pages simply by looking through the Yellow Pages.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

No worries, I never meant to imply every business was dodgy.

They maybe do, but in our area the council doesn't accept them as the quality is low on these.

They get more cash for recyclates if they are better quality paper, yellow pages would be contamination in our area.

They can of course be recycled separately.

    thanx, didn't know that

so thats why they ask you not to put yellow pages in with the rest of the paper.

I always wondered why that was!
