Stopping Yellow Pages Being Delivered

Options
I have found a telephone number (freephone), which when you ring up, you request to stop receiving Yellow Pages.

If like me , your either receive two of them (being on a border of a county), and/or you don't use the book (you use the computer). ring up, and they will remove you from having one delivered. My point, if saves the environment, less printed, paper saved.

I have rang, all they ask you is your postcode, number of house, name, and why - which I said I use the computer.

The number is 0800 671 444.

Hope of use to people.

  • Great! I am going to phone up on behalf of my mother. Her front room is stacked up with the damn things. I wonder if it is possible to stop the normal phone directory as well?

Hmm, they asked for my telephone number? Remember to do 141 so they don't get your number. Don't want them ringing me anyway.

Where did you get this info btw OP?

  • Hi Stepsy,

I wrote to Yellow Pages asking for them to stop sending me Yellow Pages. They then wrote back, with the above number, and told me to phone them:-

"Please call our Directory team on 0800 671 444 so that they can make a note
for future publications not to be delivered to your premises.

    Kind Regards,
    Yell Customer Service Team"

Just thought, pass on the information, and it is really hard to find anything to stop the directories coming through. Also getting a freephone number was an added bonus aswell.

i like the yellow pages. if you just want to look up a shop there is no need to power up the pc, etc type in the website, write down the number, turn the pc off again and go to the phone!. I would think the yellow pages would be 100% faster :)

I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.

Why do Americans sing "Take me out to the ball game" when they
    are already there?

and we all got a sense of humour as well
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
