Running faster in general but sometimes still has go slow periods.
Not sure how to back up manually, only ever used system restore!0 -
does the go slow coincide with red minimonitor?
do you have anywhere to backup to, external drive (if so which brand)?!!

yes usually slow when on red, don't have external drive0

Are you using a belkin wireless adapter?
there are a few processes relating to mediacenter that could be disabled from startup if you don't use them, not sure how much ram they will free, you could try checking the ram usage of these processes in task manager to see if they are using significant amounts of ram.

Nothing that would be a disaster if I lost it, so I guess back up not essential. Yes I use the belkin adapter as wireless not built in.
I have removed media thingys.
