What's your colour scheme?

Hi,
I have no idea what to choose for my colour scheme! Have a light gold and ivory dress (which looks cream), and we are getting married in Mauritius, with our 4 yr old as a flower girl.
We are then having a "beach" theme reception at home.
Have bought this dress for my daughter:

But think that it is probably too insipid for a theme!
Any ideas?

Our colour scheme was duck egg blue, fuscia and lemon yellow, but yesterday I decided to change the yellow to orange!! The yellow was only a sort of "accent" colour anyway, the invites are cream background, fuscia pic & writing, the BM's dresses are duck egg blue with fuscia (well, bright pink, if I stop being pretentious!) shoes and pashminas. The Best man & my Pa will wear duck egg blue ties and the H2b will wear a fuscia tie. The marquee will have 100 meters of all different bright coloured bunting and the flowers (which is why I changed my colour scheme) will be bright pink and orange with bits of green. I love all the flower pictures I've seen in those colours!0

That's such a cute dress! I'd go for something like turquoise and gold - you'd get the 'beachy' look you're after, and you could also use a pale pink here and there to match your daughter's dress.
A little like these images, but with added gold:

Thanks, that's a really nice idea!! You don't think it would matter too much if we chose a colour scheme for our reception which is different to the wedding day?

Also, if you sign up to the Dessy website (you have to register, but you can choose not to receive emails), you can use the Pantone mood board to see how colours go together - fabric swatches (or rather pictures of them!) and dresses/flowers/cakes etc. It's really useful and addictive! I've made about 8 so far...
Thanks for the dessy website, its fab0 -

I'm another purple here. My dress is ivory but I'm after 2 BM dresses in purple. Shade not so important as long as they both get the same as I've not bought anything else yet. Getting married 18/06/11 :beer:0
