This is a scam amazingly with the collusion of Barclaycard. Leisure Time is allegedly a discount club (the type featured on TV and warned about) with your credit card details sold to them by Barclaycard. The upshot is that if you don't cancel, your Barclaycard will be debited with £69.99 annual membership fee. Imagine the number of people who either do not check their transactions or are simply away. I got caught to this scam in 2009. I successfully complained to Financial Ombudsman and received an apology plus £50 for the inconvenience suffered. It happened again in 2010 and got the charge cancelled almost immediately. It has happened again in 2011 and I am in the process of complaining.
