Soup done - a bit bland but it'll do. Just going to run a bath for DS and then hoover the mattress ready for the bedding going back on.

    Hi All
Just sidling in to say I'm still here but I've had a scarily busy couple of weeks and the place looks like a bomb has hit it. Never knew that going back to work would have such a negative impact on the house.

I will be lurking, occasionally posting, for the foreseeable future, but I will be trying to keep on top of the housework too and following the lists when I can. Once I've got a routine in place it'll get much easier.

But for now I'm going to say I've done very little this week...although I have to confess I've been washing and ironing every day, so at least we have clothes to wear (even if we're up to our armpits in chaos!).

Sending hugs to everyone who needs one, big hello's to anyone who's new - this is a fab thread and it does get you organised.

    Take care all

(oh yes, and if anyone knows where my dressmaking scissors are, then please let me know...they've walked off and I only have the left-handed ones to hand - which I can't use, even though I'm left-handed!).

    Evening all,

I've spent the majority of today making invitations for our wedding reception (broke the cutter after putting too much paper in it, and ended up having to cut by hand with scissors). Delivered a few local ones (in our village), and have had our first RSVP - unfortunately my adopted grandmother doesn't think she will be able to make it, as she may be staying with her son in Ireland. She's really depressed as her health is starting to worsen, and she said it hasn't been the same where she lives since we moved. She's thinking of going over to Ireland to live in sheltered accomodation as everything is getting too much for her on her own. :(

Have put all of the paper trimmings in the wood burner, and I'm now off to my Zumba class. Got a stinking headache due to my cold, so don't really feel like going, but have to or I'll start making excuses like when I went to the gym, and end up not going any more.

Hugs to all who need or want them.

My January Challenge was to decorate DD2's bedroom and I've achieved that. For February the challenge will be to organise paperwork and ebay/ditch anything that needs to be decluttered. I've already made a small start and sorted out the file with all the car info in.

Ooh well done sunnygirl - you have inspired me :D
Ok my February challenge is to sort mine and DH's bedroom out and then at least start on DS1's :) I shall inform all of progress as I go along :)
For tonight my plans are to:
    [STRIKE]Finish cooking late tea/supper[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Feed animals[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Finish drying clothes[/STRIKE]
Wash towels, chef whites and school tops - [STRIKE]realised there were other clothes I needed to wash instead and not these and did them :)[/STRIKE]
Dry towels, chef whites and tops - [STRIKE]as above[/STRIKE]
Iron clothes - hmm shouldn't but doing in morning, need to go to bed!
Prepare lunch for work tomorrow - [STRIKE]no bread but have cup a soup, fruit and snacks ready instead :)[/STRIKE]
    Phone friend
    [STRIKE]Phone dad[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Shiny sink - nice and ready for the morning for a change![/STRIKE] YAY!!!
[STRIKE]Watch tv or film with youngest [/STRIKE]
That will do for tonight I think :)

Everything happens for a reason :)
