    Afternoon all

No real flying yet today as I needed to go to the shops (to find DS3's insoles which I had stupidly left in a pair of shoes he was trying on. They were still in the shoes - one in one pair and one in another in a box but I found them)

Looby - I hope DD was ok at school. Talk to the school asap. They need to monitor this and nip any problems in the bud and need a strategy to help the new girl to settle into the school. How old are they?

    Helen
    - a good cry is sometimes needed and healthy. Sending you calming vibes

Chloris Happy birthday to your DH

Just need to send a few emails and then I need to clean the bathroom before school pick up. Also need to iron the last of DHs clothes as he is off to the US tomorrow for 2 weeks.

  • I'm back in! Better late than never :o

Have been MIA since Christmas but time to get back on it now.

I have decided that as last year was the year of the wedding this year needs to be the year of the house! DH and I have been living in our rented house for over a year and still haven't unpacked 1/4 of the boxes. So as well as doing my best to keep up to the house work with the help of flylady, I'm also going to try to start ongoing decluttering. My aim is to declutter 5 items a day to start. Either on ebay, to the charity shops, reuse, recycle or bin! We have also started looking for a house to buy so will make moving a lot easier if I can get on top of things.

Bests wishes to everyone else on here, hugs and positive vibes to anyone who needs them :)

The biggest thing I have noticed since I started this challenge is that DH and I havnt argued at all really! (I did wash his work trousers with the train ticket still in the pocket though...!) We have 3 small children, and live in a small 2 bedroom flat, so we can be under quite a lot of pressure a lot of the time, especially at the weekend when we are all about! Since I started this challenge though and beginning to keep on top of everything...I never would have believed it could take that much pressure off us, but it has! :j
Aww, it's great that you're not arguing. Can DH make a habit of checking his pockets before putting stuff in the wash-bin? I've convinced Mr LW to do this, as with lupus brainfog I cannot be relied upon to remember - I've "laundered" a £5 note before now (came out OK and was subsequently spent) and also a piece of paper with what looked like the remains of an email address written on - that one we shall never know as it was all but illegible and Mr LW couldn't remember who gave it to him.:D

I'm struggling big-time this week; just been online to get an appointment for my meds review, so I'm all stressed about that (getting an appointment with my preferred Dr at a time when Mr LW is available to drive me is a major exercise in logistics - we have 07:00 on 23rd February), I'm majorly behind with the lists, can't access half the kitchen til Thursday night (when the new bathroom door will be hung) and basically just feel like sitting in a corner and howling.:( BD is standing over me snarling and baring its teeth.:(

Heh, it's all small stuff compared with what many of you are going through - feel free to kick my bum as you go past.:o

Mrs Wolf... I am about a year and a half behind on lists at least.. I'd not worry too much.. and the dog warden will be round later to collect.

I have a whole load of sticks here I'm going to launch from my special rocket launcher and all those black dogs will go rushing to get them and won't bother all you lovely Flyladies. January is a hard month isn't it but see how the evenings are staying lighter that much longer every day and spring will be here soon. Sending everyone a big hug from here; it WILL be OK and we're all allowed bad days ..... tomorrow is a new day.

OK, so here's little Mrs Organised - vacuumed through and cleaned the bath although I remember at the time I had a little voice saying not yet. Now I remember why - me and Pip have been out, got muddy and she has to have a bath with anti-itch shampoo as she might have a skin allergy. So my gleaming bath now has dog hair clogging the plug, bits of mud on the sides and my freshly vacuumed lounge has dog hair in the spot where I blow dried her!!

Off to get the Dyson and Flash .... D'oh!!!!
