Betty I'm so gutted for you and baby. Your so brave and I just can't imagine how I would feel right now. Really hoping baby 2 stays put although losing baby one is just devastating. Unfortunately it's happened to two other people that I know and their other babies have delivered just fine. That said losing a little one is just awful. Really, honestly words fail me...:(

Hello everyone - thanks so much for your kind thoughts, each message has been a big comfort to me.

I'm afraid that Baby 2 was born this afternoon, he took a couple of breaths but then slipped away. We're obviously devastated, I feel as if I've been hit by a truck, physically and emotionally. The hospital and staff have been fantastic, I'm shortly going to be transferred from delivery suite to the bereavement dept where we'll go through all the options available in these circumstances.

I've been allowed to have the babies with me whenever i want and am taking great comfort in the fact that both of them look just like miniature versions of their big (two and a half year-old) brother, for whom I'm so grateful right now.

Thank you all so much again. I'll be following your progress when I can and truly wish you all safe and happy pregnancies.

    Take care
    SB xxx
