I thought I felt one from the outside the other night and was so excited, but since then have been really focusing on trying to feel it again and nothing
sometimes the harder I try the less stig moves...grrrr
Hope you are well this morning, welcome beth, Emsbet hope you are ok.Marrying the man of my dreams30th November 2012 :jLittle Stig due22nd February 20122012 is going to be an awesome year!!!0 -
Morning ladies, welcome Beth.
I think that is well expensive Gilly for toilet roll, we go through loads, but I only pay £4 for 18 rolls from farmfoods, it is the nicky brand but as good as leading brands in my opinion. Mayb etry it. They also sell it in home bargains if you have one of those in your neck of the woods. Not sure if it is a lancashire thing or not.0 -
my OH will only use Andrex or Velvet
his mum's the same so I blame that! We don't have Home Bargains or Farm Foods over here!
It's normally about £7 for 12 quilted andrex, so I thought a fiver wasn't too bad. Considering Mr T's own is about the same price :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Morning Gals,
How's it going?
Emsbet -thinking of you, hope Sir Alex is holding on and you are doing OK waiting to see your GP tomorrow!
Beth - Hi and welcome to the thread, everyone is V nice on here, although I don't post all that much I do read it all
I think I felt Elvis again last night, more tummy twitches on the inside. I have the 20 week scan on 18th, so looking forward to it but a little worried too that something may get picked up. I keep trying to tell myself that it will all be OK.
Anyone else sleeping for England? I go to bed approx 10.30pm and from 11pm to 6.30am I am dead to the world (apart from getting up for a wee). It's so hard waking up for the alarm, all I want to do is go back to sleepWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Morning everyone (oh, em afternoon)....
Welcome BJD
I'm going through lots of toilet roll over here too, but I am pee'ing far more often, lol. Need a good Andrex offer so I can stock up.TTC #3..........0 -
Afternoon all
Midwife appointment was fine this morning. She measured me and apparently I'm measuring a week ahead of the average (but I also realised that I'm closer to 25 weeks than 24 anyway, so am hardly ahead really) and I heard Pip's heartbeat for the first time which was really coolMidwife felt my tummy to work out where baby was and she got kicked :rotfl:
Welcome beth, hope you're getting on ok. We're all a lovely bunch, although as Gilly says, we do talk about some odd stuff sometimes... :rotfl:
How are you emsbet? Hope everything is ok...
The first time I realised I might be able to see the kicks from the outside was when I had my hand on my tummy and I got an almightly boot and my hand jumped! Now I can see it all the time. I spend most evenings sat on the sofa staring at my tummy now... You can also sort of see when Pip's moving, not just the kicks and thumpsI've totally got over the creepiness of it now, I love it! Am now waiting for Pip to get hiccups, I think that's going to be sooo funny to see and feel!
Icey - I could sleep all day too, if I didn't have to go to work! My OH was a bit disappointed I think, that I never really got over the tiredness from the first trimester. I never seemed to get the burst of energy that some women get in the second trimester, I just felt *marginally* less tired for a few days :rotfl: I'm pretty much always in bed by 10pm, and alarm goes off at 6.30am. I've had a few nights recently where I'll wake at 4am to go for a wee and then can't get back to sleep (like this morning ) which makes it worse. But before I was pg, if I went to bed before OH, I'd always wake up a bit when he got into bed. Not any more! As soon as I'm asleep then there could probably be an earth quake and I wouldn't notice (providing I didn't need to go for a wee during it of course...):j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Good afternoon ladies and bumps!!! I'm back from my sick bed, *almost* recovered from my terrible cold, still a bit coughy and snotty but def much better than i was.
13 Weeks today!! :j Its really does fly by, really looking fwd to my next midwife appt when i'm 16 weeks, I'm hoping thats when I hear babys heartbeat.
Wow all this chat about kicks I cannot wait until I feel my one but feel like its ages away, however I have been feeling some tickling sensations in my lower tummy which I'm going to put down to baby movements but most likely just a bit of wind :rotfl:
Hello and welcome to BJD and any other newbies i ay have missed.
Good luck with your appointment tomorrow Emsbet, I hope you are feeling positive today, hoping Sir Alex is well and that the brown blood is just something and nothing.
I too am going through loo roll as well. I only have to have a sip of water and its out the other end, spending half my life on the loo damn it!
Hope all you ladies are well. Off to do some shopping this weekend and hopefully i can pick up some maternity trousers and jeans up. I think my waist is thickening now but I have lost 3 pounds since being pregnant, Ihave no idea what my body is doing!

Gopppers - a friend of mine said she felt her baby kick from around 13 weeks so some people do feel it as early as that! It may not be for a while that you're feeling the full on kicks and prods though (but it will come around sooner than you think, feels like only yesterday I was 13 weeks!):j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
