Why is it that makes people think that just because they are able to do something everyone else should have the same skill set?

Obviously some people are going to be much more financially savvy than others and are not going to fall for the bank's patter.

There's something thoroughly unpleasant about people who are prepared to smugly dismiss other's problems just because they don't have the same abilities they do.
