    hi all

I have not posted on this board before, as i didn't know it was here!
i could really use some advice... sorry if my post is a bit long i'm a little upset.

Yesterday i went in to boots and spent £16 - bought a no7 mascara and a no7 eyeshadow...got a free no7 moisturiser because i bought a mascara, BUT she said i was not entitled to the free gift bag.

My total purchase was £16 and then i used the no7 £5 discount voucher which made the total go down to £11 so she said she was sorry but i was not entitled to it as it didn't matter that i'd spent £16 as the voucher took it down to £11. Tried talking to her but she was having none of it. felt very embarassed by the end.:o :wall:

I feel really deflated now as i was going to use the gift bag as an extra xmas gift for a friend. With 3 children under 7 to buy for it is difficult to find the money for all i have to buy for. This woul've been ideal.

Is there anything i can do now you think, i still have my receipt.

    PLEASE reply!
    thanks in advance... :)

    Hi!

Yes you should have had your bag! I would phone Customer Services up to complain, and get them to confirm this, then go back to the store and ask to speak to a Manager to rectify this! I have had 2 bags using my £5 voucher, both times the total to pay has been less than £15. I have actually phoned CS in front of the SA when they have been unhelpful, the number is on the back of your AC. Its amazing how their attitude alters then!

    Hope you get one!

I think it depeneds on the cahiers you get maybe? ive used the 5 off voucher with points vouchers and had the total come down to about £9 to pay and still got the free bag cos it was over £15 when added together.

never been to one of the christmas extravaganza thingys but will be going to the aylesbury one on the 30th as i need to buy a few christmas presents etc.. so what should i or shouldnt i do on the night.. want to take full advantage of these nights thanks
One thing I would suggest doing is going to the advantage machine first and printing off some extra points vouchers.See if their is anything you might be buying for pressies ( no.7, haircare etc ) with bonus points. Also the last time I went they had spend £30 get 350 bonus points so you get this as well on top of the 1000 points.( they used to switch these mchines off on xmas nights so i was suprised to see it working). I also used a double spend voucher that i got through the mailings.( i spent £60 and got 1895 points doing this ).
My other suggestion is that you dont need to split your shop up into £50 spend to get the 1000 points the till automatically adds it with every £50 you spend. Apart from that maybe look out for the 3 for 2 offers- sure the others will have some suggestions.:D

Hi I agree with you . I found in the past not to deal with N0 7 staff and take it to the tills. It didwork for me this way before. shrewdal
  • def depends on the cashier, i brought the perfect n protect serum 16 quid voucher down to 11 + free bag - plus i picked up 2 x 31p razors to get the botanics glow lotion (many thanks OP)
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D
  • Yesterday I got the £24.50 No7 Suncare Set and the £6.00 No7 Christmas Nail Colour - I used a 10% off voucher, the Pregnancy Voucher for free No7 product and the £5.00 No7 voucher = Total spend £0.40 + 200 points on Christmas No7 from ACM and I got two No7 Gift Bags.

I went to the Pharmacy counter, the SA was lovely!!

i had a similar problem a wee while back and e-mailed to complain, they credited me 1000 advantage points as a good will gesture, apparently they do 500 just for compalining and go up if they feel you have a point, might be worth it if all else fails

do boots ever do ways to get points other than shopping, like tesco/pigsback etc - by siogning up for things etc? just a thought
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
