  • Twice I attemped to use the 200 and 250 pt vouchers together on ltd edtn No7 and both times it failed to work. On the second occasion the sa told me they both went on ok but then I checked my receipt later and found the 250pts hadn't worked ... so I went back and said can I have my voucher back? He went and got another SA who added the points on manually :)

D'oh! I didn't realise until i got home so the voucher had already been taken but I will do that next time. Thankyou.

Many thanks again for all the really useful posts.
Thanks to the info I headed for boots and grabbed 3 of their botanic range - on 3 for 2, two happened to be the Golden Glow body lotion, and had 2 packs of the basic razors. ;)
I got the 2 body lotions FREE with the razors, but the 3 for 2 didn't work - oh well worth a try !

Today I hunted out every Boots I could locate. All had the body lotion, but none had the basic razors .
Although this is a "Grabbit while you can!" thread, as an experienced Boots tart, I'd advise folks to be philosophical and play the long game.

If you're unable to take full advantage of a promotion, another one will be along fairly soon to tempt you!

In the run up to Xmas, it's tempting to buy loads, but unless you really need something, I'd personally leave it and wait until the January sales. And even then, be cautious about the sale bargains for the first week in case they reduce the goods to silly prices.

For example - the Daniele Ryman goods. "Too good to be true" recently at "2 for £10" now reduced to "75% off everything" and if they discontinue the range I imagine it'll be £1 each in the January sales.

Likewise, the Botanics is often on special offer, and now those goods in the old packaging are very likely to show up as old stock in the January sales.

Also remember if you buy 100 bottles of something, you'll be sick to death of the stuff after using the first 3!

    Dave :)

The botanics didnt work in Hanley today. They looked at me like I was mad when I said I'd seen the offer at Boots.com.

But I did get a voucher from the machine saying they are having an extra chritamms evening 29th November and a discount thing.

eek:eek: I have been waiting since the 27th of October for them to deliver my dishwasher  They have twice missed the delivery date, delivered one that had 2 huge bashes on the front and now I am waiting patiently to see if the one scheduled for delivery this coming Thursday will actually arrive!! no bets please! :o

I have been refunded my £19.99 delivery, given £30 good will gesture, had a free up-grade AND send the biggest bouquet by interflora... all lovely and it has softened the blow but at the end of the day I still don't have my aplliance and they have had my money since I placed the order.

I'm sorry to say i wouldnt reccomend them to anyone...

Read my whole experience on the VENT board .

Hope yours arrives ok though !!

    hi all

I have not posted on this board before, as i didn't know it was here!
i could really use some advice... sorry if my post is a bit long i'm a little upset.

Yesterday i went in to boots and spent £16 - bought a no7 mascara and a no7 eyeshadow...got a free no7 moisturiser because i bought a mascara, BUT she said i was not entitled to the free gift bag.

My total purchase was £16 and then i used the no7 £5 discount voucher which made the total go down to £11 so she said she was sorry but i was not entitled to it as it didn't matter that i'd spent £16 as the voucher took it down to £11. Tried talking to her but she was having none of it. felt very embarassed by the end.:o :wall:

I feel really deflated now as i was going to use the gift bag as an extra xmas gift for a friend. With 3 children under 7 to buy for it is difficult to find the money for all i have to buy for. This woul've been ideal.

Is there anything i can do now you think, i still have my receipt.

    PLEASE reply!
    thanks in advance... :)
