Oh dear. I give up, yes you win, I'm taking the mick, well spotted. they are all out to get you. The HA's properties are full of drug dealers and single Mum's who have jumped the (non existent) lists. My OH has been sat beside me through every post on this thread and confirmed everything I have written because he is also taking the mick. He doesnt know his job, in fact its not his job he is a rocket scientist and part time astronaut.
Are you taking the mick now ?
Of course the banding is that specific, that is why westlea have 5 bands, each band is specific to the group of people in it.
I think using your husbands job as proof you know how it all works has not helped you.
Thank god he isn't a brain surgeon or else you'd be on a site telling everyone else you know how to do it because hubby told you.
When you work in the industry please do come back and impart your wealth of knowledge wont you? When you have specifics for each one of those five bands, when you actually have a reasonable knowledge of how it works rather than what you have briefly read on a HA website to try and win an argument, Oh wait....

forgot to mention, you also get priority housing if you have more than 3 legs, have ever lived in Scunthorpe or can sing all the words to Waltzing Matilda whilst juggling golf balls in a bath of baked beans.0

 First come, first served.
The property is just as likely to go to a hard working couple as it is to the drug users.
I don't believe this for a second. Are you honestly saying that if the Queen applied for a council house she would get it ahead of a single mum? That has to be one of the silliest things I've ever read.0

I think the misunderstanding has arisen from the statement of whoever bids first gettng their chosen property. The bidding process is open for a set number of days and you can only bid on whatever size property you have been granted eligibility for. When the biddng closes the staff rank the bids and the one with the greatest need out of all the bidders is offered a viewing and a tenancy if that suits both parties. If it were fastest finger first then folk would all bid at 00.01 on a Tuesday morning and it would all be a bit of a bunfight!0

Yes, thats exactly what I'm saying, and the corgi's get one of their own as well, in fact, what the hell lets give the entire Royal Household a complete estate so they can all have a HA Property.
If course if you had actually read what I was saying, i.e that it is based on eligibility and that if an eligible working familiy were up against an eligible single Mum they would have an equal chance.
Because obviously the Queen is totally eligible for a HA property isn't she.... 0 0

Thank you, someone who seems to have an understanding of how the system works finally.0

You keep going on about eligibilty, surely a single mum with 5 kids is going to be more elgible than a working family with one child.0

Its very simple, shall I put it in idiot terms for you?
junkies, single mums and asylum seekers get no more priority that a needy working family.
Maybe I need to write it in bold?
junkies, single mums and asylum seekers get no more priority that a needy working family.
 Or perhaps bold AND Underlined?
junkies, single mums and asylum seekers get no more priority that a needy working family.0
