Anyone got any advice on them?
I've got this topper on my bed - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30155632
My friend is wanting one too, but I think the £90 price tag is on the hefty side.
Has anyone had any experience with cheaper ones?
There's a lot of ebay, from high rated sellers, but is it worth the gamble for the cheaper price?
Any helpful input would be great

Is this going on a normal 3ft mattress?
If so for a start the Ikea one will be 6ft6 long and not 6ft3 as English mattresses are.
But it does seem quite dear for 50kgm3 of memory. You should be able to get 60kgm3 for that price.
How old is the mattress? Because if its 5 years or more you may not benefit too much from putting a topper on it. A new mattress with memory foam is not going to cost a whole lot more.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

I think it's an ikea bed it's going on. my friend is in rented furnished accom so i dont think buying a mattress is an option, and with not knowing how long she is going to be there we thought a topper would be a good option0

Well memory foam is expensive, although I shouldn't think that Ikea's memory foam is very good quality.
The thing is that if you have an Ikea mattress then they have you by the short and curlies, unless you want a topper that is 3" shorter than the mattress.0

well my friend is only about 5'1 so her feet never touch the bottom of the bed anyway lol, and as she's in rented accom, a standard fit might be better as she can take it everywhere with her and know it'll always fit..0

What is wrong with her existing mattress?
The reason I ask is because you should never try to revive an old worn out mattress with a memory foam topper, because the layer underneath is just as important (if not more) for support.0

It's very very uncomfy. Like sleeping on a wooden floor. But part of the furnished accom0

Is it an old mattress that may be due for replacement soon?
If not then get your friend down to Dunelm Mills and to get a teddy bear topper.0

But if it needs replacing then she could ask the landlord. But she needs to hell them how uncomfortable the old one was.0
