I think that we need to send people to the other thread now D as it's not all about this now and so I edited the title. I think - for now - the house is the least of your worries. I am glad that you have told us more so we can give you all the help you need.
More things have come to light since my initial post so, rather than me list it all here, please read the first post of this thread and click on the link there and look from P11 onwards and see if you can offer the poster any advice.
