Moneypenny had some good words of advice, do listen to that.
Thank you - I'm a bit more in control of myself today (managed to not howl at work anyway) but absolutely shattered as haven't slept well the past couple of nights.
Think a soak in the bath (with some lovely Christmas smellies) and an early night is in order!Nottoobadyet wrote: »Had a bit of a rubbish evening last night - I was on a bus when one of the passangers was quite brutally asaulted by another (broken nose, lots of blood) and I had to call the police and ambulance. I waited with the victim until the police got there and they did say they thought they caught the guy that did it, but its about the 5th time I've had to call 999 in the three years i've been living in london and is no fun at all.
OMG that's awful, must've really shook you up.
OK, well, hugs for everyone (whether you want/need one or not!).
Today.....
Took flask of coffee to work
Had left over corned beef hash for lunch
Updated spending spreadsheets (and still under monthly allowances!)
and,ummm, that's about it
Have a good evening!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250

Evening all. It is nearly Friday :j
Sorry to hear about your nasty experience Nottoobadyet
Today I have:
Breakfast at home, crackers, cheese and fruit to work and paprika pork in the SC for supper
Spent only money for car park at station. I even went for walk at lunchtime to get off fat backside and walked round the shops without spending anything
Just as well as my car us going to cost me a fortune next week
Yougov survey
Doesn't seem much of a list today - have had a b*gger of a day at work though!
I will stop being lazy and go and fill the dishwasher and make Friday fridge bottom soup in a minute!0 -
Well it's not something that will directly affect me money wise (my parents pay for the food shopping) but I had leftover suprise tonight for tea! This consisted of 4 bizarre ingredients that are not usually thrown together...
- A baked potato
- The ham from my roll for lunch which I didn't eat in the end
- A tin of Heinz spaghetti
- A massive thick blanket of cheese!
Probably not the healthiest concoction but it tasted nice and I've cleared the cupboards of the things no one was particularly eating!
I also walked to the train station (when my train got cancelled and I had to get off a stop early) instead of hopping on the bus and paying a ridiculous price to go 5 minutes down the road!Thank you competition posters!

I am very late in posting today as I've been at work all day and it's been a tough one!
Today I have:
-Checked Onepoll
-Done Bingoport posts and Swagbucks clicks
-Store cupboard breakfast, leftovers for lunch and didn't buy any snacks
-Checked for MS
-Posted eBay item
-Made the most of free hot drinks at work
-Put a fleece on instead of turning the heating up as it is cold here tonight
-Done a Tesco online order to take advantage of £10 off
But I did treat myself to an M&S meal for dinner although I used a Christmas gift voucher to pay for it. I also bought some M&S fruit as I do find it lasts longer (in terms of freshness). Not very :money: but not actually spending cash either!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator
