  • Morning :)

I was hoping for a NSD today, but my teenage daughter is apparently bored to tears with sandwiches and wanted a school dinner. Have discussed other options for future packed lunches though.

    - check bank (done)
    - clothes drying on airer (done)
    - making bread (in the middle of)
    - dinner planned from stores (although deviated from menu, as Morrisons didn't have what I had planned - so decided to make stuff from stores instead)
    - leftovers for lunch
    - do surveys
    - do comps
    - heating on low, and an extra jumper on (done)
    - fill in form for credit union
    - update spending diary (done)

Morning lovelies :) Happy Thursday to you, nearly the weekend!!

I had a very LSD yesterday at just 80p, but today I'm going to have a NSD, which brings my grand total up to 4 for the month. I'm rather pleased with that, even though it may not sound like much, as it's the best I've done so far!

    Today I have:-

    • Lunch from home
    • Checked online banking x 1
    • Got labels/letter sorted for eBay sale
    • Turned down a Costa coffee  and had a free one at work!
    Today I will:-
    • Post eBay item (my first sale this year :))
    • Check eBay for any watchers/sales
    • Put 5 more items on eBay
    • Check other online banking
    • Post some letters off to my DMP
    • Sign up to Topcashback and sign up to Equifax for my free £16.66!!

    Hi All

Had a bit of a rubbish evening last night - I was on a bus when one of the passangers was quite brutally asaulted by another (broken nose, lots of blood) and I had to call the police and ambulance. I waited with the victim until the police got there and they did say they thought they caught the guy that did it, but its about the 5th time I've had to call 999 in the three years i've been living in london and is no fun at all.

Hugs to those who need them, well done LAM on talking about your debt.

    Today, in NTBY world:
    • walked to work to stretch very sore legs and save on bus fare
    • meal planned and made a shopping list
    • email auntie to let her know the dates I'll be visiting
    • cooked pasta sauce in advance for friend coming by for dinner tonight - will have pasta with aubergine sauce and grilled mushrooms with pesto
    • lunch at work from home - carrot and corriander soup from home with a roll
    • had pumber in this morning to fix sink which has been leaking
    • check banking and update budget
    • update budget and check banking
    Cant wait for Friday!

Taking my frugal life on the road!
  • I went to the tube station today and tried to buy 2 bottles of Diet Coke and found that they have put the prices up again by 10p per bottle, so I put the bottles back in the fridge and left.

If inflation increases the price, just buy less of the essential stuff.

My friend from Germany said that some vegetable and fruit prices are 150-200% of what they are in Germany, unbelievable!

:D Afternoon all, lovely to see you all doing great stuff.

I can't believe I am so cheerful, even when I have a migraine!! Guess it has something to do with mind over matter!!!

My vision is a bit wonky but I can still type, although I have the curtains drawn.

Today, I have had to take a step back, and do less, but less is more right:D

    Charged my mobile phone

Phoned my daughter at work to see how she is. Aww her and her collegues are losing their jobs come this March.

Did some online research for job hunting, courses , volunteering for things she could look into.

Made a few short telephone calls, to friends.

    Plan dinner for later,

    Help with hanging washing

    And rest my little head.

Might do some light armchair works, if I feel upto it.

So thats my done for now, have a fab day one and all!!!! :D
  • This is all very new to me, so here goes. Going to OH's house after work which will result in:
    • Heating up leftover scouse which i froze last week
    • Taking my washing up to his house so we generate a full load between us
    • No heating on at mine whilst i'm in his ;)
I'll get much better at this as time goes by I'm sure :D

    Hey,

Pernicious: Re the contract. A friend works in mobile phone type things and he said that eventually they will get rid of the term 'unlimited' in their deals. Its happened already and 'fair usage' it now used a fair bit with regards to text. o2 unlimited texts is 10k I think. I work hard but I only ever get close to 2k a month.... mmm texting :-p

    Today I will:
do nothing and feel sorry for myself as I think I've got a tummy bug so money saved on snacks/ food at work etc. No cans of coke.
I even brought in my own ribena so I can have it hot to make me feel better.

    Hope everyone is keeping well.
