Thursday 20th Jan - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D.
Goooood morning lovelies:T
Ooooh I beat DNMS today, that doesn't happen often now;) Hope all well - remember it's nearly Friday which means it's nearly the weekend:T
Ok, off to work for me, must get my face on here then get the girls up. Time for my list:

Morning all,
Lily if you make it on here today - I've just caught up with yesterday's thread & I'm so sorry about your pets, I think I'd have done the same if it were my two "babies"
Moneypenny had some good words of advice, do listen to that.
Hugs to everyone who may need one today - I am just glad it's getting towards the end of the week now finally! A good rest is in order.
Does anyone here know how far you can push a mobile company to give you the best deal? I can't decide whether to stay with them on a sim only deal with no contract, switch to Tesco's sim only deal with no contract, or take out a new 18 month contract for slightly more a month but I get a shiney new phone out of it...trouble is they wouldn't offer unlimited data like Tesco would, & if I got the shiney new phone my usage would go up...could try pushing more for it today & insist either add the data in or no deal?? I am useless at haggling, hence why it is on my 101 list!
Anyway my list for today:-- [STRIKE]Make use of free coffee/water at work[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Bring in food from home[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan - OH cooking veg curry tonight
[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]Log calories on Foodfocus[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
- Check out freebies & comps board
- Call Orange again - negotiate a better deal
- Contact Next & ask where my jeans are!
- [STRIKE]Washing up[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Aiming for either a NSD or LSD (Need to buy a couple of cards soon)[/STRIKE] LSD in the end
- Finish up organising the accounts paperwork
- Finish tidying study
- Finish tidying bedroom
- Spend at least 10mins going over my tkd terminology
- Continue reading wedding tips thread
- Take some time out to relax
- Try to get an early night

Morning All

Thanks for starting us off Milly. Smallish list for me today as I'm not feeling great, nothing specific that a long bath and 12 hours sleep wouldn't fix
E-mail building society about making appointment to possibly swap our mortgage
washing on low, dry inside on airer
DD in re-usables
tea from planner
check banking
pay tax bill  have saved for it though, so not too bad
Freeze some tea that I batch cooked last night whilst making dinner (if DB doesn't come over tonight - if he does he can have it for his tea)
Investigate car hire for cheap holiday we have booked for end of feb
Investigate insurance for above too
Think that's about all, have a great day everyone :j

Morning

I felt awful last night I logged on and saw there was another 'startagain' so hope they dont think I stole their username. Tried to find out if I could change mine.
Feel better after telling my boyfriend that I have joined here and openly have had to admit my debt (well most of it)
today :
- check online banking - I think my last DD goes off today and will see what I can tf to ccard and what I need till payday next week.
- going to look for more surveys
- have listed another ebay item I found
- i bought those 5 for £4 meals at the beg of week so lunches sorted.
- forgot charger at home for my phone
- have turned heating off for most of the night now though
Just to say thank you again for all your support - it really helps
