    Sorry to be cynical but.....

I think £30 per year (plus the £5 join up) is expensive for what you might actually gain from this. There are already forums where you can gain advice on anything you might want to know about cars or your make of vehicle and the best recommendation is by word of mouth from other people that have had good service locally or by trial and error yourself. When I've looked into the women only insurers there have always been cheaper both gender ones. Driving issues are relevant to females and males and even though people are much less likely to know what's under the bonnet than when I started driving there is far more information freely available if you need it.

It is expensive and I think Martins negotiation of free membership for some MSErs is a chance for people to try it and see if it is worth the money. If it is not, then drop out once the free membership is up, if it is great then renew. I think Martin has done both them, and us a favour by negotiating this.

  • I agree it sounds expensive, but I'll be there at 12:01 to get my membership to find out if I really will be able to save money. I will then make the decision in 12 months time to find out if it would have been worth my while to actually pay for it.

  • Yup I'm here waiting!

Having not passed my driving tests 3 times due to silly mistakes such as going in a bus lane for about 3 secs, staying in overtaking lane for "too long"....I need all the help I can get! HAHA!

Luckily my boyfriend is a mechanic...so I've got a little help in the car department.
