Worryingly,i have just read a thread where one of the moderators recommends a certain mechanic because he is on their list, and a member of "The Guild of Master Craftsmen"(even retailers can join this,so as they say,go figure).

What is a lot more worrying is that the mechanic is NOT even a member any more. So,what do we conclude from that?

That makes me realise how important the impartiality of mse is.

    Yes, from their website:
The Guild of Master Craftsmen exists for the benefit of its members.
I'd rather do business with an organization that exists for the benefit of customers!
    Can I help?

lol..couldnt agree more. My ears pricked up at the mention of this Association because several years ago when i ran a business (no skill involved) they contacted me trying to get me to become a member, for a fee of course.

I am now very wary of any company that feels the need to display the logo of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. Are they trying to buy into "respectibility"?

Very old thread, but I've not long had an email from Foxy with new offers, and I remembered that Martin was looking for feedback for getting the freebie.

So far, there haven't been any offers that I have been able to utilise. The forums on the website might be better if they were used more and there was more interaction.

    What do others think?

I've used the forum and got info from it, but the vouchers haven't been any use. And the money off the MOT doesn't apply as my car is too new.

Has anyone taken up the Nationwide freebies on the Foxy website. They are:-

    # Free Spring gift pack (includes screenwash, air freshener & windscreen cleaner)
    # Free Air Con system performance test
    # Free Spring safety check (good to do before the holiday season, just in case)

I went into my local Nationwide and booked in for next Monday, but just wondered if anyone had any positive or negative feedback before I go.

    Thanks
