Thankyou will try those numbers. Paid by visa debit stupidly, never had a problem before with past orders. Lesson learnt though.0

This follows on from a post i made about a 6-8weeks ago. Basically i bought a large garden item for around £150 it never arrived after promices that it would. I emailed every week and then thanks to this forum i got a number to ring. I have rang evey week since, been asked to fill out a claims form, sent it back. Been told 4 times now a refund will be in the bank by the end of the week.
Each time nothing turns up!
They are just fobbing me off, i have wasted so much time on this and just want my money back. I couldn't wait any longer to get the item so had to buy elsewhere so now i'm out of pocket twice.
What is my next course of action as it has been going on for 4mths :eek:0 -
Hi,
It's easier for people to keep track if you stick with the one thread, so I've merged your two threads together.

OP, read here about how to do a Debit Card chargeback.
Note you only have 120 days to do it, so may be too late already.
Otherwise, consider a letter before action followed by small claims court if necessary.
Are the debit chargebacks only for items under £100 though? I've read through it loads and just can't make sense of it lol0 -

I read it as...
1) you can claim a chargeback for any amount from a visa debit card, or
2) you can claim a chargeback for up to £100 on a visa credit card, but if the amount was over £100 on a credit card, it would be more appropriate to use Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
There's even a sample letter to send on that webpage.0
