Orange moving call centres TO INDIA

Orange have been moving call centres abroad for at least 18-24months now. Why I left for T-Mobile who have now done the same.
What really gets me is when then use western names and try and make out they're in the UK by talking about the news, weather, tv etc. Just be honest with us, as we.know your not in the UK.0 -
A friend of mine is a Orange Premier (high spend) customer. Up till Christmas the calls were answered very quickly by a UK call centre. Since the New Year he has hardly spoken to any one in the UK. Seems like even the high spend customers are been downgraded with CS.
He has told me that he wont be renewing his Orange contract as this is the last straw with Orange.0 -
My friend works in Portsmouth and theyre taking on new staff and expanding.
I believe it goes off your account refer code (What she told me) certain codes only refer you to UK call centres, (Very high spend customers or if your account has this tag)0 -
I have a big issue with the UK's firms sending jobs abroad, whilst still charging ever increasing prices ax lowering the services customers receive.0

I thought the majority of there call centres were abroad. I've never once phoned up and got to speak to an English person.
Only way to do that is go to retentions or sales.
Funny how if you want to quit or buy something you'l get someone who speaks perfect English but when you have a problem you get someone who's quite clearly reading from a script! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
As others have said, I've only got someone English at Orange when i've wanted to buy or quit. Actually no, I got a geordie a couple of times for techinical support. But when I rang them SIX times to check that a phone I was planning to buy would work with their Sky Sports App, I got Indian call centre staff. All of whom confirmed that it would work even though they didnt stock it. So I spent £250 on the phone. Rang to request the App. Indian call centre. All fine. Will be working in 24 hours I was told. 24 hours later, nothing. I ring back. Oh no, it won't work on that phone!! Grrrrrrrrrrr! Is it too much to ask for call centre staff that actually speak AND understand the English language??COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0

Given my experience of Orange's UK call centres in relation to broadband support, I can hardly imagine that it could be any worse, wherever they base it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

If you seriously want the senior manager's office to reply to you, then you need to deal with them in a professional manner. Subject "Crap Service" isn't likely to be the best way forward, however frustrated you are.
You need to decide "Do I want to be taken seriously and have my complaint dealt with?" or "Do I want to come over as an ignorant lout?" because the latter is the impression you make when the first communication that the Executive office has such a subject tag.
Why antagonise from square one the people you want on your side?0
