Greetings, all!
I know its a bit early, but I think most of us are getting to the end of January blues so need to be planning our meals well! I hope people don’t mind me starting the thread - never done it before.
The two of us are having:
· Thursday: friend coming by for dinner, having pasta with HM aubergine sauce and pesto stuffed mushrooms
This is possibly the most delicious thing I cook, recipe here: http://www.thewednesdaychef.com/the_wednesday_chef/2010/06/francis-lams-letmyeggplantgo-free-spaghetti.html
· Friday: L/O veggie bolg pasta bake with salad or something on the side
Needs to be eaten ASAP!
· Saturday: L/O carrot and coriander soup for lunch, out for dinner
Soup was last week’s new recipe, very successful
· Sunday: Moroccan spiced aubergine
Looks scrummy, new for me: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/jan/19/moroccan-spiced-aubergine-recipe-marcus-wareing)
· Monday: Veggie chilli from freezer on rice or garlicky bulgur wheat
Batch cooked last week and very tasty
· Tuesday: Vegetarian Frittata
Mums recipe, with spinach, sweet potato, tomato, onion and egg
· Wednesday: L/O Vegetarian Frittata
Breakfasts are cereal or omelettes, lunches are leftovers and soup from freezer

Too right :rotfl: Traditionally, OS Meal Plan weeks start on a Monday (which is what you have put in the title). So we ask posters not to start the thread until Thursday of the previous week at the earliest.
I'll leave this for this week, but in future, please add onto the current thread, and start a new one on Thursday soonest
Thank you all :A:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
The lask week in january-eek!
We were not too bad last week (so far, still have tomorrow night to do... ) Last night changed from a spicy veg tagine to a leek, brocolli and mushroom orzotto with blue cheese, mainly because I couldn't for the life of me remember where the tagine recipe came from :rotfl::rotfl:
From monday the plan is:
Mo 24th Veggie lasagne, salad
T 25th Balsamic tomatoes and sausages, with pasta
W 26th monkfish stew with turmeric rice (from the silver spoon)
Th 27th Spiced duck ramen
F 28th Gammon steaks, saut! spuds and peas
Sa 29th roast trout, potatoes and veg
Su 30th roast pork (or poss lamb, not sure)0 -
Wow the last full week of January, how soon time flys!!!
We are doing well on adding vegetarian meals to our meal plans, I am not getting any complaints at all... so here goes another week with only 3 days of meat
Saturday 22nd - Beef Stew and Dumplings
Sunday 23rd - Husband Parents visiting and Taking us to Dinner
Monday 24th - Leftover Beef Stew and Dumplings
Tuesday 25th - Fish Fingers, Mash and Beans
Wednesday 26th - Vegetarian Chilli and Rice
Thursday 27th - Leftover Vegetarian Chilli and HM Wedges
Friday 28th - Fried Potatoes and Onion with Chritzo
It's very Potato heavy because I got a good offer on them, and no where I store them in my house makes them keep... so I have 2, maybe 3 weeks to use them all!!
I have a lot of scones and rock cakes left from last weeks baking, so I will only be making Blueberry Muffins this weekend for my Husbands Parents when they visit!
Good luck everyone xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

I must confess that my mealplan for last week went totally out of the window - I ate what I'd planned only 3 nights out of 7, which really isn't good enough.
My main aim for the this week is to actually stick to my plan.
I've got:
Friday - ham, ricotta and pesto pizza
Saturday - braised sausages and lentils
Sunday - cheese and tomato pasta bake
Monday - ricotta-stuffed chicken with roast veg
Tuesday - vegetable and cashew noodles
Wednesday - steak and blue cheese pie and veg (using frozen LO beef stew)
Thursday - beanburger puffsBack after a very long break!0 -
So far for WB 24th Jan, I've got:
Monday - L: hummous, carrot sticks and pitta.pie, mash and beans.
Tuesday - L: hummous, carrot sticks and pitta.bacon and tomato pasta.
Wednesday - L: LO pasta.prawn curry and rice.
Thursday - L: LO curry and rice.corned beef hash and mash.
Friday - L: sandwich.egg, chips and beans.
And that's as far as I've got! Think I might be away at Boyfriend's that weekend but not certain yet. Hmm, do you think that week looks rather bean-heavy...0 -
Mon: Pork Ramen (unless we meet my mum for a meal)
Tues: Pinto bean burritos & rice
Weds: Haggis and root mash
Thurs: Macaroni cheese
Fri: Tuna and mozarella pasta bake
Sat: HM sausage and onion pizza
Sun: Garlic roast chicken, roast spuds and vegDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
