I would say bare with them both, I would have missed out on over £5700 of cashback since 2006 of normal spending, changing mobile deals each year, power suppliers, car and house insurance, normal spending. I changed my bookmark /favourites to link from topcashback so I don't forget (eg ebay). I would not have gained the tax free £5700 so I think its worthwhile :) If I find an online deal I still check it verses non-cashback companies, to see if the cashback is worth the hassle of a potentially a non tracking purchase. From my experience Topcashback track and chase untracked purchases much better and more efficiently than Quidco (which I have almost stopped using).

Do you file a ticket with TopCashBack to get them to investigate when this happens though?

yes, 1 of them they found and the rac is still pending.. :(
  • Ok, the Equifax cashback just became payable.

Fair enough - I got 20 quid for an online application followed by a phone call to cancel (straight away after applying).

That's not bad but it took 5 months!

This is clearly not a game for impatient people.
  • sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with them.

I joined this year and so far been very happy, everything tracked very fast and most now confirmed or payable.

I did a couple of transactions on Monday this week which havent tracked yet, unusual and I keep checking, am bit concerned and keeping an eye as one is a big one (phone), but I know I did everything correctly so assume will have to raise manual claim if it doesnt come through within couple of weeks, but both items already been delivered so hopefully TCB will sort it if they dont track.

Both these retailers Ive checked the feedback by members and a fair few have said they had to send manual claims and have had problems, delays and non payment by these 2 retailers so maybe I picked the wrong ones! but will see how it goes, dont want to prempt a problem when they may still track!

The other retailers Ive used up til now have been really fast with tracking and confirmation/payment, so am happy.

Payment often takes as long as 5 months and 3 months is average. But with interest rates at 1% I'm not worried as long as the money comes through in the end.

It is only things not tracking and/or never getting paid on things that have tracked (if necessary after raising suitable tickets with TopCashBack) that would cause me concern.
  • Apart from the odd transaction that I've had to chase, TCB have been very reliable for me. In an average week I probably have at least half a dozen small value transactions (and often double that) plus the usual annual insurances etc.

I've not used Quidco as I'm too mean to pay the £5, but did use Rpoints - luckily they only owed me around a tenner when they went bust. I'd highly recommend TCB.
