I've never had any trouble with TCB failing to track or paid and have used them for a few years now. I tend to use a separate browser to go through their website to purchase things (Firefox) but never bother clearing the cache. It's been a while since I've used them for big purchases and I've only had to have 1 ticket open but that was due to a problem with the company I'd bought from, not TCB.

However, at the same time I've had quite a few problems with Quidco either failing to track, or taking in some cases 18 months to pay out on some purchases.

I've had over £1500 from Quidco in less than 3 years, but TCB never tracks for me, despite making sure I do everything it recommends etc.
    So I stick to Quidco

I use both TopCashBack and Quidco and all my purchases through them have always automatically tracked with the sole exception of an energy switch to EDG Energy. I raised a query on EDF Energy with TopCashBack and after having to provide the new contract number for the EDF Energy supply that was also paid too.

But I usually clear the cache in all my web browsers (Firefox, IE8 and Google Chrome) and shut down all my web browsers then restart my computer and open only one window in one browser before going to the Quidco or TopCashback site and starting the purchase at the site I want through their sites. I locate the product at the website I wanted to purchase it through before I do all the business with clearing the caches in my various browsers. Having said that a couple of times when I have been making purchases where the cashback was only small in amount I only cleared the cache in Mozilla Firefox before then starting the transaction in that browser at https://www.topcashback.co.uk and those transactions still tracked ok. The main area of danger I find in not getting cashback you could be entitled to is simply buying something directly from the website of a company that you don't realise at the time offers any cashback.

I think many of you who have non tracking problems are not clearing your cookies and also leaving open the Window at the site of the company's product that you wanted before then going to Quidco or TopCashBack to try to earn your cashback with them.
  • I've had over £200 from them in the space of a few months as well. No problems on anything tracking, and I use the same browser for searching and buying! Just clear my cookies before I go to tcb.

my experience is similar, no issues with quidco but only odd amounts track for TBC major stuff never tracks, did use it for debenhams last year and also used quidco at the same time, quidco paid in dec, supposed to be paid in jan for TBC but in reality there should be no difference, items bought same day so surely they should be paid at the same time.
  • I get on fine with TCB apart from Phase Eight who always refuse to pay out for some reason. I recently claimed £115
    travelover
  • I have not had any problems with TCB. I did have to submit a couple of enquiries but always found they came through in the end. I hope you have better luck next time.

My experience is the other way, everything tracks for Topcashback, nothing for quidco.

  • I don't bother with Quidco (not prepared to pay £5) and most things track on TCB for me but I have some outstanding queries going back to 2009 which I feel TCB should have chased up by now. It's frustrating and annoying especially when you know you have done things correctly, clearing cookies etc. etc. I often feel we are misled and enticed by the amount of cashback on offer which then may not materialise eg. my OH did the Snapfish join-up thing - 99p for so many prints and supposed to be £10 cashback but again it didn't happen and had to be queried. Doubt it will ever be paid either. I know we are told "don't expect to get the cashback" but we are fulfilling our part of the bargain so I feel they (TCB) should too.
